Among the things that I'm trying to work on, procrastination is not only a specific project, but also a strong undercurrent for everything. I'm finding a lot of useful ways to think about procrastination and my own issues around getting things done. I'm only about half way through, but already I'm finding it a bit easier to choose to engage in work, to break things into smaller tasks so that I can get started instead of shying away from a big daunting task, and most importantly, to commit myself to guilt-free play. I'm already envisioning a vacation, albeit local to save money, once a major project finishes up around here.
In addition to not starting, I also waste a lot of time. It actually seems like this might be a separate problem. At any given time, I have to choose to work on a project (even a fun labor-of-love project) rather than waste time watching television or napping or laying about the house. That may be the biggest struggle, but I'm committed.
